Christian Bible Study

Each Christian will notify you that they adore God. Not many of them on the other hand will inform you they repeatedly join in Bible study. This might not seem like it but it is a direct contradiction. How can you say you love God if you do not want to hear what He has to speak?

That is what Bible study does for the Christian. It is more than solely discipleship. Bible study is something that helps you open your ears to hear what God may possibly be speaking. The Bible comes with several warnings and orders for life. It even tells you how to fall in love with God. If we do not study the Bible how are we to know these religious truths?

Every relationship should have communication in it. The Christian relationship with God is no different. God may converse with lots of techniques to us but the major way He does is through the written word. If we do not pay attention to it and study the Bible we possibly will be ignoring our God and hurting that relationship.

So how do we mature a love for the word of God? Truthfully it ought to come effortlessly. When you fall in love with somebody you sincerely want to take in all about them. That is what initially drives a Christian to open the Bible.

After time though in all relationships communication starts to break down. This is since it looks like we already know all about each other. I know that when I spend time with my wife there has been moments of silence just since we didn’t know what to speak about.

This same thing occurs to Christians. After you study the Bible a while you can start to think you already know what it says and not have a strong yearning to pick it up. The certainty nonetheless is that even when you know everything about someone they can continuously stun you.

The Bible is the same way. You can study it over and over but not pick up all in it. I have studied it for more than ten years and I still find new things. It may perhaps be as easy as finding something I forgot.

The best way to do Bible studies is to bask them in prayer. Ask God to show Himself to you. Is there somewhat you do not know about Him? Ask Him to show it to you through your Bible studies.

In short we will miss out on a lot if we do not take regular discipleship Bible studies. We may even harm our walk with God through letting lack of interest come into our hearts. Developing a discipline of Bible study we can be sure not to let that happen.

So in our day if you call yourself a Christian it is time to open the Bible so that you will know how to live your life before God and men. You are expected to grow in God and one day teach others. Expected discipleship bible study will help that to come about.
