Christians and Online Marketing

By: Paul Wright

A good pal who has a very nice Christian radio station consulted me whether or not I thought that he ought employ paid ad or depend solely on assistance to finance his radio station.

I promptly replied that he must not depend entirely on the Christians to sustain his radio station. This was uniquely true seeing as he was already earning a good income through paid advertising while serving through Christian music very successfully. Clearly that radio station can run advertisements as LONG AS nothing false or non-Christian is promoted. As far as I know, most Christians eat, buy cars, etc.

I still hold that belief.
As a evangelist, I also prefer to raise resources for my missions efforts through my own internet business (tentmaking), instead than depend only on contributions. That is because of the time element involved with itinerating and not only for economic basis.

"Christian Business" or "Christian's in Marketing"?

Do you have a Christian Internet marketing or are you a Christian with an internet business?

Here are 2 definitions that Terry Dean mentioned in a recent interview pertaining to Christians and Business:

" "Christian marketing" may mean a business that sells to Christians (like a Christian bookstore).

" "Christian in business" is simply someone who is a Christian in business.

I'm a Christian in an internet business. You can study more about my marketing as a Christian below. Probably you ought have a Christian internet marketing too.

Christian Internet Business Lies
As a Christian Entrepreneur there is something that bothers me:

I have found numerous non-Christians that set a better example than that of the Christian realm. Expressing that you are a Christian while performing dishonesty is misleading. That indeed concerns me. Uprightness is undeniably a extraordinary item on the internet and Christians must be the first to step to the plate and portray honest ideals.

Don't get me wrong, I am simply stating my experience, there are also some best models of Christian Honor out there, such as Terry Dean (mentioned above), Maria Reyes McDavis, Problogger Darren Rowse and many others who have extremely thriving internet businesses.
I do however, get pretty bad of religiosity (there's a variation in being religious and being Christlike). I apt to seek and balance this out as a"spiritual" leader.

Your Christian Internet Marketing
As a Christian, What is your Online Business? must You only target Christan's in an internet marketing?

We all are called to be a light to the world and a city set on a hill. How in the world can you let your light shine if you ONLY sell to Christians? Not everybody is called to be a evangelist, but everybody is called to be a light in their daily existence…a missionary in their every day world. You'll never achieve your mission retreating from the world.
