Safeguarding the ashes of a family member or friend is a very important function of the cremation urn; however, the urn is also intended to be a means of capturing the very essence and personality of your loved one. Some families want the urn containing the ashes present at the memorial or funeral service. The selection of an appropriate urn for ashes is the first step in properly memorializing the individual. Funeral urns are available in several different sizes to accommodate the size of the individual and the desires & needs of the family making these difficult decisions. Urns for Pets are often smaller versions of the adult size and are available in various colors and materials ranging from wood, metal, glass, marble and stone. Depending on the size, some keepsake urns will work as a pet urn.

Memorial Accessories and Personalization: are designed to be used during the funeral or memorial service as mementos to personalize the ceremony such as: a flag case, medal display case, candle sticks, picture frames, bud vases, cremation jewelry, memory boxes and memorial chests.

When selecting a cremation urn, factors such as final resting place should be considered. Will you be traveling on airplane with the urn? If so, special considerations for an urn that will pass security clearance is critical. Will the urn be buried, stored in the cemetery or home? Depending on your answer, you may need a burial vault for the urn. Will the ashes be scattered? Land and water urns for ashes are available to streamline the process. These are considerations that must be reviewed when making a final decision regarding the urn choice.
