It offers a selection of rooms with differing facilities, including Standard, Deluxe, Executive and Family rooms. Competition for airport guests is intense at Gatwick, with another hotel linked to the North Terminal (the Sofitel), another five in the airport grounds and around twenty more close enough to be considered 'airport hotels', with more to be built including a giant Premier Inn that will also be attached to the North Terminal and plans for a second hotel attached to the South Terminal too. This means there are often deals at the Gatwick Hilton, such as free airport parking, free breakfast or discounted meals, especially during off peak months at this premium hotel. About the Hilton Hotel Gatwick 1. Rooms There are four types: standard rooms, deluxe rooms with a bit of extra comfort (both in single, double and twin), good value family rooms that sleep up to five, and executive rooms with some business focused extras. The hotel also offers suites and interconnecting rooms, with day rooms (09:00 - 18:00) available for those with a daytime stopover at the airport. Executive rooms and suites include access to the Business Lounge with computer terminals, reading and TV areas, where there is a free buffet breakfast, free snacks and drinks during the day and a drinks 'party' in the evening. All rooms have cable TV, with pay-per-view options and video games, (paid) high-speed internet access, and an automatic telephone alarm clock service. Bathrooms vary with the room type, ranging from walk-in showers to extra spa baths. Check in is at 15:00 with check out at 12:00. Packages are available on a room only or 'park, stay and fly' (room plus airport parking) basis. 2. Food and drink For an 821 bedroom hotel, it has quite a small selection of food and beverage outlets, with two bars - Amy's Bar and Charlie Fry's Sports Bar - and two restaurants - the Garden Restaurant and Amy's Restaurant. The executive lounge offers free breakfast and snacks during the day for those staying on the executive floor, and there is a Costa Coffee branch near the lobby. There is room service, or if you just want a low cost snack or a sandwich, the hotel is a 2 - 3 minute walk to the South Terminal, where there is a wide choice before security in the food court. 3. Facilities There is a tiny gym next to the main lobby, which is open 24 hours but only has 9 cardiovascular and resistance machines, 2 stretch mats and 2 abs machines. There is an equally small gift shop. The Business Centre is 07:00 - 19:00 but expensive - internet access is £3 per 15 minutes, and faxing 'from £2.50 per page'. Internet access is free in the spacious lobby (compared to £16 for 24 hours in rooms).
