How do you actually get audio onto your web pages?

You can simply record your audio and upload the mp3 file to your web site and create a link on your web page to the mp3 file. This is OK if you want your visitors to download the audio and play it on their computer using their own software such as Windows Media Player or QuickTime, but you have no control over how or when they will listen to your audio.

The preferred method of adding audio to your web site is to use a Flash audio button. 98% of all computers have Flash Player installed so by adding a Flash audio button to your web site you know you message will get heard. The problem is unless you know how to program using Adobe Flash, how do you crate these buttons?

There are two types of programs that enable your to easily create Flash Audio buttons in minutes.

Offline programs. For a one off change of between $27 and $97 you can download a program which will run on your computer. Some programs have built in recorders. You simply record your audio, select which type of button you want to use and then paste some code created by the program into you web page.

Online Programs. You pay a monthly fee of between $9.95 and $29.95 to use a program which runs on the sellers server. The advantages of using an online service is you can record your message via the telephone and your clients can also record their testimonials via a special phone in service. Also if you have a lot of audio on your web site the online service may work out cheaper than the extra bandwidth changes you nay need to pay to your hosting company.
