Once one ends a amount of meditation or prayer, it is a strong experience to write down out words that return to you. My grandmother was a very fervent member of the Episcopal Church. She believed fully in religion. She was a deeply non secular girl who frequently sought for God's can in her life. When she married my father she became a Roman Catholic, not too completely different from the Episcopal Church in several ways. What I've seen among religion are 2 teams of people. There's the non secular and then those interested in control over others. The religious are connected to God. They've discovered that what they knew intellectually as the Supreme Being was not outside of themselves, however love among themselves. What I've found, however, is that much of the institutional aspect of church needs folks to believe the ability isn't among themselves. Power is solely inside bound ordained people. This can be certainly inflicting a problem. Many folks are leaving their religions as a result of they're not finding their spiritual connection. Of course, they find that situations at intervals churches, some being the horrors of sexual abuse, inhibit association with God. People are craving to seek out the God of affection that they were raised in hearing regarding, but they weren't experiencing in their institution. Many people still inside the institution of church do not understand this. What I see happening in society could be a great division. On the news and radio people are saying that people who leave the ancient church, who believe that God is within, don't seem to be actually spiritual people. Some pundits even call them atheists and have lumped them with those individuals who believe there's no God. This causes great discord. Folks fully involved within the establishment of faith find it troublesome to perceive those who now not feel nourished there. There are many avenues for spiritual food. The "spiritual"call people who have left the establishment the "unchurched" as if someone making that choice has an illness. There are a number of avenues for non secular growth and development. I've seen that in individuals who come back to my office and talk about their relationship with God, Spirit or whatever name they use for their Higher Power. Some find this relationship through organized ancient religion. Others go to non-ancient religious organizations such as Unity and Science of Mind. Still others gather in private meditation groups on a daily basis. What I notice in those that are what I would call actually spiritual is their love and acceptance of others and their commitment to personal growth and development whether they're in an "organized" religion or have chosen another avenue to connect with the Divine.
