Enjoy Tanzania luxury by staying in a luxury resort or hotel while visiting Zanzibar. In general it is cheaper to get luxury accommodations in Tanzania than more common luxury resort destinations, such as the Caribbean. Plus there is so much to do in and around Zanzibar and Tanzania. Three luxury hotels in Zanzibar are Baraza Resort & Spa, Mnemba Island Lodge, and Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski. Baraza Resort & Spa is a Tanzania luxury beach resort located in Zanzibar. This resort has 30 rooms and suites. It is not totally intimate like the Mnemba Island Lodge, but it is not anywhere near as big as the Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski. One of the main luxury amenities of this resort is its Swahili-style Frangipani Spa. At the spa you can take advantage of one or more of their available treatments to help make your stay even more relaxing. The resort is located near a reef and you can enjoy a variety of water activities including reef diving, kitesurfing, and kayaking. The resorts restaurants serve a variety of cuisines including Indian, Persian, and Swahili. The Mnemba Island Lodge is a great option for those that want more of a private Tanzania luxury experience. The lodge only has 10 guest cottages located on a private island just for the lodge and its guests. This is a great option for those that want a romantic getaway. Off the coast of the island there coral reefs that you can enjoy by scuba diving or snorkeling. The island the lodge is located on is also known as a green turtle nesting place. The Mnemba Island Lodges cuisine is mainly seafood. Zamani Zanzibar Kempinksi is another good choice for a beach style Tanzania luxury hotel experience in Zanzibar. This hotel has about 117 rooms/suites/villas. The hotel offers a good view of the Indian Ocean from many of its luxury rooms. One of the hotels amenities is a Thai massage therapy style spa services. The Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski also has a 75 foot pool that is great for swimming laps. The Zamani Zanzibar Kempinski also has facilities for playing ping pong, beach volleyball, and tennis making a great luxury resort for those that like to be active while on vacation. It also has relaxing options, such as the beach and the spa, so it is also good for families that include members that prefer to be active and some that prefer to relax by the pool or beach while on vacation.
