The Inbetweeners is a British comedy show that I was introduced to by my girlfriend who was spending your time in London when she first saw it. As a non-Brit, I've got to say that the show is expectedly juvenile but during a good way. Whenever I watch British TV, I'm always amazed at the liberal use of swear words and sexuality. This is after all such a refreshing change from Yank Television where even fairly innocuous words are bleeped out with wanton abandon. The Inbetweeners as a show is fantastic. It jogs my memory a little of RJ Berger but a lot better. It features four young school boys getting into all sorts of shenanigans. Yes, the plots are slightly exaggerated however that's what makes this show entertaining. Watching it, I attempt to imagine what would happen if the show “Friends” had swear words in it. I feel that it would solely make it better. Therefore what's the matter with swear words? Frankly I've got no idea however effectively banning them has given birth to the unholy use of sanitized swear words like “shucks” and “fudge” that is profoundly annoying. Therefore, are Americans just uptight or do swear words extremely cause a problem. Considering that profanity has been used without the world collapsing in world media, it makes me surprise why sure countries are so averse to alter in their TV viewing habits. The question can and should be asked, ”who are they attempting to shield?” Kids hear the words everyday on the playgrounds and oldsters haven't any downside cussing every alternative out in front of their children thus why is there a downside if TV shows do it? I think its time we have a tendency to got over ourselves and gave artistic license to TV shows to portray its characters as real people who build mistakes, swear and are as obsessed with trivialities as the remainder people are.
