For the city's wastewater treatment projects to be properly funded, the state invested that money by letting it gain interests. The new ultraviolet system will be large enough to handle future growth according to the city commissioner. As what he said, the plant is able to handle up to 3 million gallons versus to the average capacity of the community to dispose 1.6 million to 1.8 million gallons of waste a day.

The new system will be a sizable unit which they intend to buy and which can also accommodate the entire discharge of the plant. The 13,000 people in the city envision steady growth, according to the city commissioner. For growth to be accommodated in the future, it is planning to expand its sewer infrastructure. In the future, no rate increases will be taking place.
