What You Need To Be A Mumpreneur: Work At Home Mums.

By: Justine Simard

Perhaps you are looking around on the internet for an opportunity to work from home, and if you have been seeking for some time you have in all probability realised that many opportunities involve beginning an actual home-based business. I thought I might talk about what it takes to be an entrepreneur or what we often call a mumpreneur. Whether or not work at home mums own a home-based business or telecommute working for a company, having to work autonomously and independently often brings the necessity for entrepreneurial attributes.

To be an entrepreneur, work at home mums don’t need a degree in business, in depth expertise in marketing and sales or even management. What truly makes an entrepreneur are personal qualities, like character, behaviours and mindset. Now if you don’t needexperience to be an entrepreneur, let's consider the qualities needed to become one. If you are looking to start a business working from home or contract your services, you will need to develop the entrepreneur in you.

Therefore if you would like to know whether you can become an entrepreneur and begin a successful business from home, ask yourself this:
Do you seeyourself as inspired, determined and driven?
Are you a self-starter and self-reliant - can you take charge and complete the work? (now I don’t suggest you have got to try and do it all by yourself without any support, but you'll need to actively and openly enlist the support and the tools that are available…)
Are you trainable? And most importantly, do you want to acquire new skills and knowledge?
Do you hold huge goals for yourself and for your business?
Are you determined to attain those ambitions?
How important is it to you to realise your goals? What will it mean to you to be able to work from home and realise your dream income, how will it change your life, for youand your loved ones?
Are you a person who doesn’t give up and is willing to take calculated risks to reach better results?
Are you highlyenergetic? Are you a hard-worker and fully committed?

Now if you have responded a resounding yes to most questions or if these questions make you feel fired-up, you could be a great candidate to begin a home-based business and be really successful at it! The bottom line is, you need to be coachable, determined to achieve results, and willing to work to build and grow your business.

When I started my first home-based business I certainly wasn’t sure about whether I really could be triumphant as a business owner and entrepreneur, and create my own profits, but with a willingness to learn and succeed, and by using the effective systems and resources in place, this has been the absolute most gratifying challenge I have ever taken up.
